The Corporate Safety Manager is responsible for managing the Day to Day implementation of TA Loving Company’s Safety Program, Safety Policies, and Procedures on all job sites. The Safety Managers work requires performing detailed observations and audits of the work environment, equipment, and procedures set forth to monitor compliance with all applicable OSHA standards and Site Specific Safety Plans, as well as establishing programs and goals to assure compliance with local, state, and federal agency standards applicable to TA Loving Company Jobs. The Safety Manager will manage the Safety Training Program at TA Loving Company. The Corporate Safety Manager will work under the direction of the Corporate Director EHS and assist the Director in overseeing all aspects of the Company Safety Program to maintain the Safety Culture that TA Loving Company has established.
Responsibilities/Duties
Conducts safety inspections (Observations and Audits) of all job sites, maintains records, and monitors all aspects of the company’s Safety Program for effectiveness.
Conducts evaluations of job site exposures and recommends hazard controls.
Assist the Director in reviewing and investigating all accidents and near misses to prevent further occurrences.
Assist the Director in preparing detailed reports that provide a clear assessment of risk and appropriate recommendations on all aspects of the Company Safety Program.
Assist the Director with pre- Construction Activities that develop loss-related information, service plans, recommendations, and reports to reduce losses.
Assist the Director in reviewing all forms of claims and loss trends to initiate loss mitigation efforts.
Assist the Director in overseeing the Safety Awards Incentive Program.
Monitor safety activities of job site assigned subcontractors to ensure our safety program is followed and to assess the overall safety performance of these trade partners while working on our projects.
Manage the Safety Training Program at TA Loving Company.
Conduct Safety Training for small and large groups of personnel and/or subcontractors when applicable or needed.
Manage and/or Conduct OSHA 10 & 30 Hour classes for our personnel when applicable or needed.
Manage and/or Conduct First Aid and CPR Training Classes when applicable or needed.
Manage and/or Conduct NCDOT approved Flagger Training Classes when applicable or needed.

Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree in safety or related field required.
Five (5) years of experience in the Management of Construction Safety Programs.
Current and thorough knowledge of federal and state occupational safety & health rules in NC, SC, & VA.
Must carry and maintain the OSHA 500 Level Certification for Outreach Trainers.
