The Hydro Excavation/Vacuum Technician position is a skilled position responsible for working with managers, engineers, technicians and surveyors to assist in the field designation of underground utilities and development of utility documents for a variety of projects for the private, state, municipal and federal sector.
Must be willing to travel if required.
Assist Operator with properly maintaining vacuum and hydro excavation trucks throughout the job.
Assist Operator with hydro excavation truck to perform potholing, trenching, tunneling, locating utility lines, subsurface utility engineering, and cleaning tanks.
Must be able to manage water pressure in excess of 3000 psi.
Responsible for maintaining the equipment and keeping it in top operating condition.
Responsible for keeping the equipment clean inside and out
Assist with document research, field designation, marking and location of existing utility assets
Work in outdoor environment and various weather conditions 95% of the time.
Possess a working knowledge of all aspects of Utility Construction performed by T.A. Loving Company.
Trained in OSHA10, Confined Space, Fall Protection, trenching, and all PPE’s
Performs other related duties/operations as required and assigned.
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The individual must be able to perform rigorous labor and work outside, frequently in inclement weather. Must be willing to work out of town for extended periods and work overtime as needed.
