Description/Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated professional for the position of Accounts Payable Specialist to join the T.A. Loving Company family. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to deliver customer satisfaction and maximize value by providing timely, responsive service with integrity, simplicity, and a passion for excellence. The ideal candidate will obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records for the Company.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Receives, reviews, distributes for review/approval and posts into the accounting system invoices and pay applications received from vendors and subcontractors
  • Follows up with managers on outstanding invoices and pay apps.
  • Runs checks for disbursement to vendors and subcontracts and distributes/mails checks.
  • Prepares and helps compiles sales tax reports that are required by project owners and state regulatory agencies.
  • Helps Project Managers resolve vendor/subcontractor billing questions.
  • Reconcile monthly statements from vendors
  • Help manage the vendors paid electronically by virtual credit card
  • Reconciles the monthly bank account for the electronic payment account.
  • Runs reports as requested by Project Managers.
  • Respond to vendors and subcontractors when they have questions about their account.
  • Daily banking activities including online review of prior day banking activity, clearing of check in the accounting system, responding to positive pay electronic notifications from the bank

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Construction industry experience is highly preferred.
