Description/Job Summary

Responsible for operating and driving gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations to transport and deliver equipment and materials to and from jobsites.


  • Attend daily safety huddle meetings and get driving instructions for the day.
  • Completes a thorough inspection of truck and trailer at the beginning of each shift to include tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water and report any deficiencies to a supervisor immediately.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment to be transported to the jobsite.
  • Secure load using straps and chains to ensure a safe delivery.
  • Proficiently operate all equipment in a safe manner to include loading and unloading equipment.
  • Maintain and operate the Company ELOG system in the truck and operate the truck and ELOG as directed by the State mandate.
  • Efficiently and safely operate trucks to and from jobsites using any combination of truck and trailers.
  • Must be prepared to travel to all job sites regardless of area under the discretion of the Superintendent or upper management.
  • Required to keep truck and trailer clean inside and out weekly.
  • When not performing the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities you may be asked to perform other duties in other departments as directed by a supervisor.
  • Complete all material and equipment moves in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

Education/Experience: Certificate from a college or technical school, or 12 months experience and/ or training hauling heavy equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensing/Certification: Class A CDL license with a good driving record.
Skills, Knowledge and Ability: Knowledgeable with all operations of trucks and heavy equipment and proper tie down methods to safely transport equipment and materials.
